Marseille have reportedly offered a contract to England midfielder Angel Gomes (24), who is out of contract at Lille this summer, according to L’Equipe.
This move could thwart potential interest from former club Manchester United and Arsenal.
Gomes has been sidelined by Lille since March 1st due to his contract situation.
While linked with a Premier League return, Marseille, managed by Roberto De Zerbi, have made the first concrete offer.
A move would see Gomes potentially team up with fellow Englishman Mason Greenwood at the French club.
Gomes will watch from the sidelines as Lille finish their Ligue 1 season.
