Stormers Shift Focus to JT Lady Jaguars After Third Season Loss

Magic Stormers suffered their third loss of the season despite mounting a spirited fourth-quarter comeback in a tightly contested clash with KCCA Leopards at the YMCA Court in Wandegeya.

Led by John Omondi, the Stormers were edged out 83-79, a result that forces them to quickly turn their attention to their next fixture against the JT Lady Jaguars tomorrow, as they aim to return to winning form.

Siblings Angela Auma and Daphine Adong were in superb form throughout the game, contributing 32 and 14 points respectively to lead the team’s scoring efforts. However, their impressive performances were not enough to overturn a 20-point deficit suffered in the first quarter.

Despite the setback, both Auma and Adong remain optimistic about the remainder of the season.

“It’s going to be tougher against the JT Lady Jaguars, but we are putting in the effort and correcting our mistakes to come back stronger,” Auma said. “We’ve geared up to win our remaining games as we target the NBL title. Players, coaches, and management all need to work together to achieve this.”

With three games left to conclude the first round, the Magic Stormers are aiming for a playoff spot and remain focused on lifting their first team trophy.

“We are giving it our all to beat the JT Lady Jaguars,” Auma added. “Both teams are good, but one has to win. We’re targeting at least seven wins in the first round as we push for our first championship.”

Action resumes tomorrow with live coverage on NBS Sport and Afromobile.
