Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso plans to give his players around five days off after the CAF Champions League final against Pyramids FC (second leg June 1 in Cairo) before they head to the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.
With their first Club World Cup game against Ulsan HD on June 17 in Orlando, and departure for the US on June 9 (based in Florida), the break will be brief due to their busy schedule.
Cardoso confirmed plans for warm-up friendlies, with Benfica mentioned as a possibility, before their Group F matches against Ulsan HD, Borussia Dortmund (June 21, Cincinnati), and Fluminense (June 25, Miami).
The top two teams will advance to the knockout stage.
