Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min has filed a criminal complaint in South Korea over an alleged blackmail attempt.
Police in Seoul have detained a woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s suspected of extortion after the woman reportedly claimed to be pregnant with Son’s child and demanded money.
A follow-up attempt was allegedly made by the man in March.
Son’s agency has confirmed the legal action and stated he is the “clear victim,” vowing strong action against the individuals involved.
The news comes ahead of Tottenham’s Europa League final against Manchester United.
