MUBS Lacrosse Maintain Perfect Record as Blink Kobs Bounce Back on UNLL Matchday 2

MUBS Lacrosse cemented their position at the top of the Uganda National Lacrosse League (UNLL) standings after a flawless showing on Matchday 2 at NEC Grounds in Bugolobi, winning all three of their games to remain unbeaten in the competition.

The day began with a narrow 8–6 victory over Blink Kobs, setting the tone for MUBS’ dominant run. They followed that up with a commanding 24–8 win against Bombo Army SS and capped the day with a ruthless 15–3 dismantling of Buroni Panthers.

With those results, MUBS have now played four, won four, and boast an impressive goal tally of 66 scored and only 28 conceded, giving them a league-best goal difference of +38 and 12 points.

Elsewhere, Blink Kobs rebounded from their early loss to MUBS with a strong response. They edged Metropolitan International University 17–13 before closing the day with a 14–10 win over FCA Warriors, lifting them to third in the standings.

The Kobs now have two wins and two losses, with a positive momentum heading into Matchday 3.

Despite a narrow 14–13 victory over the Panthers earlier in the day, Metropolitan IU’s defensive frailties continued to haunt them. They ended the day with two defeats and one win, placing them fifth with four points and a worrying -20 goal difference after conceding 60 goals in just four games.

Buroni Panthers, who came into the day with two wins, suffered back-to-back defeats—first losing to MIU and then taking a heavy blow from MUBS. They now sit fourth, level on six points with Blink Kobs and FCA Warriors but trailing on goal difference after conceding 53 goals.

FCA Warriors dropped two crucial games, falling 10–9 to Bombo Army SS in a tightly contested fixture before their loss to Blink Kobs. They remain second on the table thanks to a superior goal difference over their fellow six-point teams, but the back-to-back defeats raise questions about their consistency.

Bombo Army SS, meanwhile, registered their first win of the season in the nail-biting clash against FCA Warriors. However, they remain bottom of the table with just one point from their previous draw and a league-high 61 goals conceded.
