As of today, May 18, aspiring candidates have six days left to submit their nomination documents for the 2025–2029 term.

The Elective Assembly, during which the FUFA President and Executive Committee will be elected, is scheduled for July 5, 2025, in Hoima City.

According to a circular signed by FUFA Electoral Committee Chairman Mathias Bwire, individuals interested in contesting for the presidency must be formally proposed by FUFA Members, in accordance with Article 40(2) of the FUFA Statutes.

The nomination process is governed by the FUFA Statutes, Electoral Code, and official guidelines.

To be eligible for nomination, candidates must submit the following by 11:59 PM on May 24:

  • Nomination letters from a 1st Division Club, a Special Interest Group, and a Regional Football Association
  • A certified copy of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent
  • A FAMACO II Certificate
  • Proof of payment of a nomination fee of UGX 10 million
  • A list of proposed Executive Committee members

The opening of the nomination period follows the successful conclusion of elections at the levels of Regional Football Associations, Big League, National Women Leagues, and Special Interest Groups.

The outcome of this electoral process will determine the leadership of FUFA for the next four years.
