Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta voiced his frustration after another trophy-less season, telling fans he was “unsatisfied and upset.”
Despite securing a Champions League spot with a 1-0 win over Newcastle, the Gunners’ five-year major trophy drought continues, having fallen short in the Premier League, Champions League, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup.
Arteta vowed to “give his life” to deliver silverware, acknowledging the fans’ desire for more. “Liverpool have a trophy – we don’t have a trophy,” he stated, while maintaining belief in the team’s trajectory.
He urged fans to keep their “positivity and enthusiasm” for next season as they aim to “start creating our own history.”
Arsenal are set for a third consecutive second-place Premier League finish. However, the lack of a major trophy remains a significant disappointment for the club and its supporters.
