Ivan Toney, the former Brentford striker, has been recalled to the England squad by head coach Thomas Tuchel for next month’s matches against Andorra and Senegal.
Toney’s impressive 28 goals in 42 appearances for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli since his £40 million move last summer have earned him his first call-up since leaving the Bees.
Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham is also included, despite impending shoulder surgery after the Club World Cup.
Tuchel has selected several Club World Cup participants, including Harry Kane, Cole Palmer, and Conor Gallagher.
Full England Squad:
- Goalkeepers: Pickford, Henderson, Trafford
- Defenders: Alexander-Arnold, Burn, Chalobah, Colwill, R. James, Konsa, Lewis-Skelly, Walker
- Midfielders: Bellingham, Eze, Gallagher, Gibbs-White, J. Henderson, Jones, Palmer, Rice, Rogers, Gordon
- Forwards: Kane, Madueke, Saka, Toney, Watkins
Notable omissions include Phil Foden, Marcus Rashford (due to injury), and other Manchester United players. Jarrod Bowen, Adam Wharton, Dominic Solanke, and Jacob Murphy also miss out.
