Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim will offer an on-pitch apology to fans at Old Trafford this Sunday after their final Premier League game against Aston Villa.
The season has been a “tortuous campaign,” marking their worst domestic performance since 1973-74 and leaving them without European football next season for only the second time since 1990.
Despite fan discontent with ownership and recent job cuts, Amorim insists on the traditional lap of appreciation.
“It will be an apology, I think that’s clear,” he stated, promising to speak from his “heart.”
He believes addressing the fans directly is crucial, especially after such a disappointing season.
