The last time Moses Waiswa played football abroad was in 2022, during his stint in South Africa with SuperSport United.
Waiswa joined the South African side in 2020 from Vipers, signing a two-year contract, but left upon the expiry of his deal.
He then returned to Uganda, joining Vipers’ rivals KCCA, before making his way back to the Venoms last season.
After spending two seasons at Kitende in his second spell, Waiswa is now looking forward to going professional once again.
“I’m grateful to SuperSport because they were patient with me,” Waiswa said in an interview on NBS Sport’s PressBox show on Monday.
“I remember I was injured while on duty with the Uganda Cranes, and it took me a long time to recover, but they kept waiting for me.”
“When I finally got involved, it wasn’t easy, but the few times I managed to play, I really enjoyed it.”
“Generally, it was a bumpy ride, but when the opportunity comes my way, I’m obviously looking forward to playing abroad again, surely, it’s every player’s dream,” he noted.
The 28-year-old has now won the Uganda Premier League twice, with both triumphs coming during his time with the Venoms.
