Manchester City have agreed a €55 million (£46.3 million) deal with AC Milan for Netherlands midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
The 26-year-old is set to sign a five-year contract, subject to a medical and performance-related clauses.
Reijnders’ arrival strengthens City’s midfield, an area impacted by Mateo Kovacic’s injury and Kevin De Bruyne’s potential departure.
The Dutch international had a standout season for AC Milan, scoring 15 goals in 54 appearances and being named Serie A’s Midfielder of the Season.
Known for his versatility and ability to operate in various midfield roles, Reijnders offers valuable depth and tactical options for Pep Guardiola as City prepare for the Club World Cup.
The club aims to complete the deal in time for the tournament, which begins on June 14.
