Chelsea are in talks to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, offering the 20-year-old a seven-year deal.
The Blues are willing to pay £30 million, though Dortmund seeks over £40 million.
Gittens is reportedly open to the move, with personal terms being discussed. Chelsea, recently signing striker Liam Delap, are looking for a right-footed left winger and are not rushing the deal, potentially waiting until after the Club World Cup.
The England U21 international, who scored eight goals in 32 league appearances last season, joined Dortmund in 2020 from Manchester City’s academy.
He reportedly doesn’t fit new Dortmund manager Niko Kovac’s system.
Meanwhile, a deal for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan looks unlikely as the Italian club stands firm on their £25 million valuation.
