Cristiano Ronaldo has indicated he will remain with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, quashing recent speculation about his future.
The 40-year-old forward, whose contract is set to expire this month, hinted at his commitment after Portugal’s Nations League win over Spain on Sunday.
Following a cryptic social media post last week suggesting an exit, Ronaldo clarified his stance.
“Future? Nothing will change. Al Nassr? Yes,” he told reporters after scoring his 138th international goal.
His comments come after he stated he wouldn’t play in the Club World Cup, having declined offers from participating teams.
Sources had expressed confidence in extending Ronaldo’s lucrative Al-Nassr deal, and his latest remarks suggest he’s set to stay.
