UMA, Darling and NEMA Shine at June Corporate Games Meet

Uganda’s corporate community came together on Sunday for another high-energy edition of the Corporate Games, marked by intense competition, networking, and camaraderie.

Held every second Sunday of the month, this June’s event took place at Jeph International University in Butabika, where organizations from across the country converged in large numbers.

The university campus transformed into a lively arena of activity, with corporate teams engaging in multiple sporting disciplines against a backdrop of music, refreshments, and a festive atmosphere.

The Uganda Medical Association (UMA) emerged as the standout performers, dominating the basketball competition and claiming the overall championship in the sport.

In swimming, haircare brand Darling clinched top honors in the freestyle category, while the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) captured attention by winning the popular Ladies’ Rizz Competition.

In a unique addition to the day’s program, participants had the opportunity to engage in an interactive boxing session led by celebrated Ugandan boxer Isaac Zebra.

The exhibition offered individuals a hands-on experience of the sport, emphasizing themes of strength, resilience, and healthy living that are central to the Games’ mission.

The event was graced by senior officials including Pius Birimanya, Permanent Secretary of the Judiciary, and Mr. Alozius Gonza, President of the Institution of Surveyors of Uganda. Their presence highlighted the increasing importance of the Corporate Games in promoting wellness, leadership and cohesion among professionals.

With each edition, the Games continue to grow in stature, fostering an environment where competition meets connection.

Organizers have announced that the upcoming CEO Outing, scheduled for July 13, will offer an even more memorable experience tailored for corporate executives and their teams.
