Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has brought former Ivorian defender Kolo Touré into his backroom staff, a move announced as the team starts their FIFA Club World Cup campaign in the United States.
Guardiola praised Touré’s experience and tactical understanding, noting his impressive work with the club’s Under-18s.
Touré, a celebrated player for Arsenal and Manchester City, joins new assistants Pep Lijnders and James French.
Guardiola expressed his confidence in Touré’s contribution, stating, “I’m pretty sure Kolo and Pep will help me… we talk a lot about tactics, football, training and it’s been so inspiring for me.”
