The nominees for the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Players’ Player of the Year award have been announced, featuring Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
Despite United’s 15th-place finish, Fernandes’ eight goals and 10 assists earned him a nod.
Salah, already the Premier League Player of the Season, is joined by Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister. Salah aims for a record-breaking third PFA award after a season with 29 goals and 18 assists.
Newcastle’s Champions League qualification is highlighted by Alexander Isak’s nomination, following his 27 goals in 42 appearances.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Arsenal’s Declan Rice complete the six-player shortlist.
The winner will be revealed at a ceremony in Manchester on August 19th.
