Real Madrid’s star forward, Kylian Mbappe, will miss Sunday’s Club World Cup Group H match against Pachuca due to illness.
The French international, who has been recovering from acute gastroenteritis, did not participate in Saturday’s training and will not travel with the team.
Mbappe was hospitalized earlier this week in Miami and has been recovering at the team hotel.
This marks his second consecutive absence, having also missed Real’s 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal.
His absence puts further pressure on Real Madrid, who are currently trailing RB Salzburg in Group H.
A club source indicated earlier that Mbappe wasn’t expected to play in any group stage games.
