Elite Kids Montessori Sports Day Uncovers Budding Sports Dreams

The field at Luigi Giussani in Kireka was bursting with life as Elite Kids Montessori hosted its annual Sports Day, turning an ordinary Saturday into a celebration of dreams, discipline, and discovery.

From the first race to the final whistle, the pitch was alive with thunderous cheers, proud parents, and determined little athletes.

At the heart of the excitement were two young football hopefuls—eight-year-old Geofrey Onyango and six-year-old Agaba Dale Caleb—who stole the show not just with their skills, but with their bold declarations on NBS Sport.

With eyes gleaming and hearts set on stardom, the duo said they were chasing dreams of becoming global football icons.

But for Head Teacher Keren Gwitabingi Mukwaya, the event was about more than just fun and games.

“This is more than a sports day. It’s a platform to discover and nurture children’s talents while building discipline, communication, and lifelong confidence,” she said.

All around the field, young learners ran, kicked, passed, and scored—each moment echoing the values of teamwork and perseverance.

Teacher Edith Mukyala Owere pointed out that many of their former students who now train in sports academies began with moments like these. “It’s days like this that unlock potential you never knew existed,” she said.

The sidelines were just as loud as the field. Parents cheered wildly with every goal and sprint, their presence underlining the vital role family support plays in helping children find their path early.
