Uganda Premier League: KCCA’s First Signing, Ssenyondo’s Very Own

Ivan Ahimbisibwe has officially closed the URA chapter of his career with a heartfelt message to the club, teammates, and fans, marking the end of a two-year spell filled with what he called goals and unforgettable moments.

In a farewell note shared on his social media pages, Ahimbisibwe thanked everyone at the club for their support, singling out the coaching staff, management, and fans for making his journey at URA one to remember.

“After two incredible years with URA FC, the time has come for me to say goodbye,” wrote the striker.

“It has been an honour to wear this beautiful jersey, fight for the badge, and share the field with such amazing teammates.”

Ahimbisibwe leaves the Tax Collectors with an impressive 26 goals to his name, cementing his status as one of the league’s most reliable finishers during his time at the club.

Last season alone, he finished as the Uganda Premier League’s second top scorer with 16 goals.

He also showed gratitude to the fans, writing, “Thanks to the coaches, management, my teammates, and most of all to you the fans for believing in me and showing me love through every moment.”

Nicknamed “The Hunter” for his killer instinct in the box, Ahimbisibwe now heads to KCCA, where he becomes the first signing under the club’s new coaching setup led by Brian Ssenyondo and Jackson Magera.

His closing line—“Now a new chapter begins and I face it with the same passion and commitment as always”—suggests he’s ready to hit the ground running in his next challenge at Lugogo.
