With the National Ball Games II just days away, the Uganda Lacrosse Association (ULA) has rolled out technical support for schools that qualified for this year’s USSSA championship, set for July 11 to 19 at St. Peter’s College Tororo.
The ULA President, Liberty Twesiime, praised the USSSA platform as a crucial stage for unearthing future stars of Ugandan lacrosse.
“USSSA provides a major platform for lacrosse talents to compete at the national level,” he said.
“This time, the best-performing teams will get a chance to feature at the FEASSA Games in Kakamega, Kenya, from August 12 to 23 as part of demonstration matches.”
Twesiime confirmed that his association is mobilizing coaching resources, equipment, and officiating support to ensure teams are well-prepared ahead of the national showdown.
This is the first time lacrosse will be part of the Secondary School Ball Games II in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.
While district and zonal qualifiers ended last week, schools are now entering the final verification and payment stage, which wraps up on July 6.
Team reporting is scheduled for July 10, followed by screening and competition starting July 11.
