The goals marked a new MLS record, as Messi became the first player to score multiple goals in four consecutive league games.
The 38-year-old found the net in the 27th and 38th minutes, taking his season tally to 14 goals in 15 MLS matches.
Miami Head Coach Javier Mascherano praised Messi, calling him “the best player that has played this sport in history.”
While Carles Gil pulled one back for Revolution in the 79th minute, Inter Miami held on, climbing to fifth in the Eastern Conference.
This latest record adds to Messi’s impressive MLS achievements, which include most assists and goal contributions in a single game.
