Tottenham Hotspur have completed the £55 million signing of Ghana international Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.
The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a six-year contract with Spurs, keeping him at the club until 2031.
West Ham had previously rejected an initial £50 million bid for Kudus, who reportedly had an £85 million release clause.
Since joining West Ham in August 2023 for £38 million, Kudus made 65 Premier League appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists.
He stated he “always wanted to play at the highest level,” citing Tottenham’s stature, history, and Champions League football as key attractions.
Kudus also highlighted the influence of new head coach Thomas Frank, who recently replaced Ange Postecoglou, as a major reason for his move, praising Frank’s talent development.
The transfer signals a busy period for Tottenham, with reports indicating Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is also close to a £60 million move.
Kudus’s arrival marks Tottenham’s first signing from West Ham in 14 years.
