In one of the most intense lacrosse clashes of the tournament, Bombo Army Secondary School girls dethroned two-time national champions Nabisunsa Girls School with a dramatic 7–6 win on Thursday to qualify for the upcoming FEASSA Games in Kakamega, Kenya.

Bombo, who had finished third at last year’s edition in Soroti, came into the Ball Games II with a point to prove—and they delivered.
As the final whistle blew, team matron Lawino Beatrice and head coach Swibu Meliga led wild celebrations on the sidelines, hailing their squad’s resilience and redemption.
The defending champions, Nabisunsa, had been favorites to lift the title once again, but Bombo’s relentless pressure and physical endurance wore them down in the closing minutes.
In the other girls’ fixture, Muzza High School edged Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga 11–9 in a high-scoring affair.
On the boys’ side, Empower International Academy continued their unbeaten run with an 8–6 win over Kigezi High School, reinforcing their status as tournament frontrunners heading into the final.
