Robert Lewandowski has confirmed his return to the Polish national team, ending his brief self-imposed exile.
The Barcelona striker’s decision follows the appointment of Jan Urban as the new head coach, with whom Lewandowski has no conditions, even regarding the captaincy.
Lewandowski had stepped away from international duty after a public dispute with former coach Michał Probierz over the captaincy.
However, with Probierz’s resignation and Urban’s public desire to bring him back, Poland’s all-time record holder for caps and and goals is now fully available for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers in September.
His return is a massive boost for the team, hoping to leverage his experience and goal-scoring prowess for future success.
