Gondomar SC, the childhood club of Diogo Jota and Andre Silva, has dedicated its 2025-26 season kit to the brothers following their tragic deaths.
Jota, a star for Liverpool and Portugal, and Silva, who played for Penafiel, died in a car crash on July 3 in the Spanish province of Zamora.
The new home, away, and third jerseys all feature images of the two players on the front. The back of each shirt includes their names beneath an infinity symbol.
According to a social media post from the Portuguese fourth-tier club, the jerseys are “more than a jersey, a tribute eternal,” and wearing them is “like stepping on the field with them.”
Jota, 28, and Silva, 25, both grew up in Gondomar, on the outskirts of Porto. The club had previously named its academy after Jota in 2022.
In a separate tribute, Liverpool has retired the number 20 shirt in honor of Jota and announced plans for a memorial sculpture for both brothers.
Liverpool players will also wear a “Forever 20” emblem on their shirts next season.
