Lugazi have added a promising young shot-stopper to their ranks with the signing of 18-year-old Igama Allan Batali.
The goalkeeper has committed to a four-year contract with the Leaders, marking his first major step into top-flight football.
“I feel so good to be here. This is a huge step in my career and I am not taking it lightly,” Batali said after putting pen to paper.
Batali rose to prominence as a key figure in the St. Mary’s Kitende side that dominated school football in 2023.
He played a pivotal role as the team clinched the USSSA national schools boys’ football title in Fort Portal before going on to secure the FEASSSA Games crown in Huye City, Rwanda later that year.
His performances during those campaigns earned him a reputation as a dependable last line of defense, and Lugazi will now be counting on his potential to strengthen their squad for the coming seasons.
