The White House is set to host an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event next year to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
UFC boss Dana White confirmed the plan, revealing that President Trump proposed the idea.
The event, a first for the White House, will be a cornerstone of a year-long national celebration.
Trump previously hinted at building a fight cage on the White House grounds to accommodate up to 25,000 people.
White said he is working with Ivanka Trump to finalize the details and that a White House official has confirmed the event.
