As the 2025/26 football season draws closer, Vipers have set out high profile pre-season friendly bouts headlined by back-to-back encounters against Rwanda’s Gorilla.
The double-header will be staged at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, on Tuesday and Thursday next week, offering head coach Ivan Jacky Minnaert a valuable opportunity to fine-tune his squad.
Vipers will then switch their attention to another huge clash against Tanzanian powerhouse Azam on August 29th at the Kigali Pele Stadium.
Azam, one of East Africa’s most competitive clubs, are expected to push the Venoms to their limits, giving Minnaert further insight into his team’s readiness for both domestic and continental football.
The latter friendly will usher the team into the regional CECAFA Kagame Cup, slated for Dar es Salaam between September 2nd to 15th, with 12 teams set to take part.
The Venoms are gearing up for an action-packed campaign that will feature the Uganda Premier League, Uganda Cup, CECAFA Kagame Cup, FUFA Super 8, Super Cup and the prestigious CAF Champions League.
