Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent, Enzo Raiola, is threatening legal action against Paris Saint-Germain after the goalkeeper was dropped from the squad by manager Luis Enrique.
The move has left Donnarumma “disappointed and disheartened” just months after winning the Champions League.
Raiola accused the club of a “huge lack of respect,” claiming they went back on a contract renewal offer despite the Italian being willing to take a pay cut. The agent told Sky Italia that Enrique’s sudden change of heart about Donnarumma as a player was “strange.”
Enrique has stated he wants a “different profile” in goal, with Lucas Chevalier from Lille set to replace Donnarumma.
The Italian international is now expected to move, with his agent suggesting the Premier League is his most likely destination.
Both Manchester City and Manchester United have been linked, though City’s interest is contingent on the departure of their current goalkeeper, Ederson.
