British tennis stars Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper are set to face off in the new-look US Open mixed doubles tournament.
The two British number ones will meet in the first round of the event, which starts on Tuesday in New York.
Raducanu, 22, the 2021 US Open singles champion, is partnering with five-time Grand Slam winner Carlos Alcaraz, also 22. The pair were given a wildcard entry into the tournament.
Draper, 23, will be playing with American Jessica Pegula. Their partnership comes after their original partners, Tommy Paul and Paula Badosa, withdrew.
Draper and Pegula are the top seed for the event, as both players are ranked in the top five in their respective singles rankings.
The mixed doubles tournament, a standalone event, will feature 16 pairs competing for a $1 million prize. The first two rounds will be played on Tuesday, with the semi-finals and final taking place on Wednesday.
The format will feature shorter matches with sets won at four games, no-advantage scoring, and a 10-point match tie-break instead of a third set.
Other notable first-round matchups include Olga Danilovic and Novak Djokovic against Mirra Andreeva and Daniil Medvedev, as well as Katerina Siniakova and Jannik Sinner facing Belinda Bencic and Alexander Zverev.
