Each of the 16 Premier League clubs and 12 Women Super League clubs will submit 25 players to be included on the cover.

The initiative is designed to safeguard players’ health, ensure proper recovery from injuries, and reduce the risk of career-threatening setbacks. FUFA highlighted that the scheme has already benefited several players in recent years.

Among them are Shadia Nankya, formerly of UCU Lady Cardinals and now in the US, Ronald Ssekiganda, once at SC Villa and currently with APR FC in Rwanda, and Josephat Ayebare of Ndejje University FC, who received support after a severe injury while playing for Kigezi Province in the FUFA Drum.

Other players who have recovered under the scheme include She Corporate’s Ronah Nantege and Grace Nassongo, Kawempe Muslim’s Shakirah Nyinagahirwa, and Kampala Queens’ Elizabeth Nakigozi and Sumaya Komuntale.

On the men’s side, beneficiaries include Ibrahim Magandazi of Kitara FC, Anthony Mayanja and Innocent Rwothomio of BUL FC, and SC Villa’s Edward Masembe and David Lukwago.

FUFA stated that the program is central to its objective of prioritizing player welfare while recognizing their contribution to the game and national teams.
