As they continue to bolster their squad, Uganda Cup champions Kitara FC have announced the signing of experienced midfielder Gadafi Wahab on a two-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
The 29-year-old joins the Royals as a free agent, having left 2024/25 Uganda Premier League runners-up NEC FC, following the expiry of his contract.
“Experienced midfielder Gadafi Wahab has signed a 2-year contract (2025–2027) with Kitara FC. A warrior in the middle of the park, Wahab brings steel, vision and leadership to the Royals,” the club confirmed in their statement.
The midfield enforcer arrives with a wealth of experience, having previously featured for Onduparaka FC and Wakiso Giants. He also had spells with Arua Hill SC and Hope Dove FC.
Wahab is expected to add grit and creativity to Kitara’s midfield as the Royals continue their squad strengthening ahead of the new campaign. His leadership qualities and ability to dictate play make him a vital acquisition for the Hoima-based side.
With his signing, Kitara FC continue to make a statement of intent as they push to challenge the top guns of Ugandan football in the coming season.
They have already signed the likes of Murushid Juuko, Eddy Ssebandeke, Isa Lumu, Sadiq Ssekyembe, among others.
