Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has confirmed he signed a new long-term deal with the club—before an official announcement was made.
Following Chelsea’s 5-1 victory over West Ham, the 27-year-old was asked about his contract by Spanish media. “Yes, it’s done. We already did it,” Cucurella stated, expressing his happiness to stay at Stamford Bridge.
This revelation puts to rest rumours that Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr were interested in the player.
Cucurella, who joined Chelsea in 2022 for £63 million, has become a dependable figure for the team, accumulating 115 appearances and playing a key role in their Club World Cup triumph this summer.
The club has yet to make an official statement regarding the new deal.
