The FUFA Club Licensing Committee has confirmed 14 clubs for the 2025/26 FUFA Big League season, following the August 21 deadline for licensing submissions.
The clubs cleared to compete include Ntugasaze FC, Blacks Power FC, Kataka FC, Kiyinda Boys FC, Kigezi Homeboyz FC, Onduparaka FC, Wakiso Giants FC, Soltilo Bright Stars FC, Mbale Heroes FC, CATDA FC, Iganga United FC, Young Elephants Academy FC, Nebbi Central FC, and Paidha Black Angels SC.
Bunyaruguru United FC and Kaaro Karungi FC were denied licenses after failing to submit the required documents but have until August 27 to lodge appeals.
FUFA also flagged several home venues as unfit to host matches following stadium inspections. The affected grounds include Ebenezer University Playground (Blacks Power FC), Bugolobi Coffee Grounds (CATDA FC), Iganga Ssaza Grounds (Iganga United FC), Luo Grounds (Nebbi Central FC), Kyamate Playground (Kaaro Karungi FC), Green Light Stadium (Onduparaka FC), Bar Okoro Stadium (Paidha Black Angels SC), and Kyambura Playground (Bunyaruguru United FC).
A second round of inspections will run from August 24–30, with final decisions on stadium suitability expected before the season kicks off.
