Crystal Palace has made an approach to sign Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji.
While no official bid has been submitted, sources told BBC Sport that Palace has enquired about the availability of the 30-year-old Swiss international.
City is understood to want around £15m for Akanji, who has also garnered interest from Turkish champions Galatasaray.
Akanji was a key part of City’s Treble-winning team in 2023 after joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.
The potential sale is part of a wider effort by Manchester City to reduce the size of their squad, with manager Pep Guardiola noting it’s “not healthy” to have so many players.
Other City players linked with moves include goalkeepers Ederson and Stefan Ortega, as well as winger Savinho and midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
