URA snatched a dramatic 2-1 win over Kitara FC in the opening match of the 2025 FUFA Super 8 at the MTN Omondi Stadium on Wednesday.
Joseph Semujju gave URA the lead in the 33rd minute with a composed finish after good build-up play.
Kitara, who dominated large spells of possession, found their equalizer midway through the second half when Isaac Doka Mweru struck in the 67th minute.
Just as the game seemed destined for a draw, Nichas Kabonge delivered the winner deep into stoppage time, finishing in the 90+4th minute to seal victory for Alex Isabirye Musongola’s side.
The result gives URA an early advantage heading into the return leg of the pre-season competition.
