Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is blaming his emotions for his recent post-match comments where he said he “hates” his players and sometimes wants to “quit” after the team’s EFL Cup defeat to Grimsby.
Despite the loss to the fourth-tier club and a winless start to the Premier League season, Amorim says he won’t change his passionate approach.
He is understood to have the full support of the club’s owners, who spent heavily on new signings this summer.
The team is now preparing to face Burnley this Saturday.
