Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club have completed the signing of goalkeeper Charles Lukwago on a two-year contract.
The 30-year-old re-joins as a free agent after leaving South African side Venda Academy at the end of his contract in June.
A potential move to Siwelele FC (formerly SuperSport United) had been close, but with negotiations collapsing in the final stages, the way was cleared for his comeback to Lugogo.
Lukwago previously guarded the KCCA goal from 2017 to 2021 before moving to Ethiopia with St. George.
He later featured for Hawassa City, adding to a career that began at Lweza before stints with Victoria University and Proline FC.
His experience also includes several appearances for the Uganda Cranes, cementing his status as one of the country’s most seasoned custodians.
The signing continues what has been a busy transfer window for KCCA, who have already brought in Enock Walusimbi, Rogers Mugisha, Lazaro Bwambale, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, and Herbert Achai.
