The final attracted huge crowds from across the kingdom and was graced by His Majesty Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the King of Tooro, alongside Princess Ruth Komutale Bagaya Akiiki.

Earlier in the day, Burahya County beat Mwenge South 1–0 to claim third place.

There was consolation for Fort Portal City in netball, where their side emerged champions in the inaugural Tooro Kingdom MTN Netball Amasaza Cup. They edged Mwenge South 40–38 in a tense final to lift the title.

MTN, the main sponsor of the competitions, handed out cash prizes. In football, Kyaka received 12 million shillings, Fort Portal City 6 million, and Burahya County 3 million.

In netball, the champions received 5 million shillings, while runners-up Mwenge South were awarded 2.5 million.

The Amasaza Cup competitions marked the climax of Tooro Kingdom’s sports calendar, paving the way for the 30th Empango celebrations, scheduled for September 12 and 13 at the Karuziika Palace in Fort Portal Tourism City.
