Arua Hill has been left out of the 2023/24 second-round fixtures in the Uganda Premier League due to challenges faced in the first round, including a shortage of players and poor welfare issues. The club’s license has been withdrawn, pending an appeal.
Mbarara City also faces troubles as Kakyeeka Stadium failed to meet standards, leading to the withdrawal of hosting rights by the FUFA Club Licensing Committee. The club is yet to announce an alternative venue.
The league is set to resume on February 01, with SC Villa hosting Maroons at Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku. The season will conclude on May 18, with BUL FC being the exception, as all other teams will be in action.
