Mbarara City have added depth to their midfield with the signing of Ian Amanya on a two-year contract from Lugazi.
Amanya has developed into one of Uganda’s steady young midfielders, first making his name in the FUFA Big League as captain of Karo Kalungi before moving to Lugazi.
His assured displays last season earned him recognition as a reliable presence in the Uganda Premier League.
“I am ready for this new chapter of my life,” Amanya said at his unveiling. “I am here to help the club fulfill its dreams but also mine as a player. I will give everything on the pitch to make sure we succeed together.”
Mbarara City view Amanya as a key piece in their plan to climb the league table.
The club praised his composure, work rate, and tactical awareness, believing his top-flight experience will give the Ankole Lions both stability and drive.
