KCCA have confirmed goalkeeper Charles Lukwago as club captain for the 2025/26 season, with Fillbert Obenchan, Herbert Achai, and Derrick Nsibambi serving as his deputies.
The announcement came during the club’s season opener briefing at MTN Omondi Stadium, where CEO Anisha Shahir Muhoozi presented the new leadership group to the board and supporters.
Lukwago, who recently returned to the club, now takes on the armband as KCCA aim to reclaim domestic dominance.
Obenchan, Achai, and Nsibambi bring a mix of experience and consistency to the deputy roles, giving head coach Sergio Traguil a strong leadership spine across the pitch.
The unveiling of the captaincy team headlined an event that also included the launch of KCCA’s 2025/26 home and away jerseys and updates on the stadium’s ongoing primary stand construction.
Club Patron and Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, along with KCCA Deputy Executive Director Benon Moses Kigenyi, pledged full support for the season ahead.
The new jerseys go on sale October 1 as KCCA prepare for a campaign built around a refreshed leadership core.
