Robert Lewandowski headed in the winning goal as Barcelona secured a comeback victory over Real Sociedad on Sunday, vaulting the defending champions to the top of the La Liga table.
Real Sociedad initially took a shock lead through Álvaro Odriozola in the 31st minute.
However, the hosts equalized just before halftime when defender Jules Koundé headed home a corner from Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford.
The decisive moment came in the 59th minute. Just seconds after manager Hansi Flick introduced teenager and Ballon d’Or runner-up Lamine Yamal, the young winger delivered a perfect cross that an unmarked Lewandowski nodded in for the winner.
The 2-1 result hands Barcelona their sixth win in seven league matches and moves them a point clear of rivals Real Madrid, who lost their fixture on Saturday.
Barcelona also maintained their record of having won more points from losing positions (nine) than any other team in La Liga this season.
