Record nine-time men’s league champions City Oilers will look to pick up their second win of the season when they face the Moses Okwera led Our Savior who have won their opening three league games against JKL Dolphins, Namuwongo Blazers and Ndejje Angels.
The game will be played this evening at 9pm at the Lugogo indoor arena as mid-week action returns.
The Oilers were 73-38 winners over D-Mark Power in their season opener over the weekend as guard Ivan Muhswezi scored 17 points and 6 rebounds in a man of the match performance as head coach Andrew Tendo took charge of his first game.
Our Savior will look to avenge last season’s playoff semifinal 3-0 loss at the hands of City Oilers before they went on to defend the title. With experienced guards Joseph Wacha and John Focus Teko coupled with the frontcourt balance that includes big man Mayer Maker and in form small forward Moses Mugisha, the side will fancy their chances with improved efficiency on both ends.
The women’s game will see Magic Stormers target their first win when they take on KIU Rangers in the evening’s opener at 7pm. The games will be broadcast live on NBS Sport.
