President Donald Trump has officially set the date for the historic Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event on the White House grounds: June 14, 2026.
The announcement, made Sunday in Virginia, confirmed that the mixed martial arts spectacle will take place on the date of the President’s 80th birthday.
The event was previously linked to the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations in July.
Despite the firm date, major logistical and security challenges remain.
UFC CEO Dana White has expressed caution, stating that due to Secret Service requirements, the live audience on the South Lawn will be capped at under 5,000, a significant reduction from the President’s initial estimates.
White also confirmed that the UFC is prepared to spend $700,000 to replace the White House lawn following the event. While major stars like Conor McGregor and Jon Jones have expressed interest, the official fight card is still to be determined.
