Uganda’s long-distance star Jacob Kiplimo is set for another major test when he lines up for the Bank of Chicago Marathon this Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. in Chicago, United States.
The world-class runner, famed for his pace and endurance, will be aiming to carry Uganda’s flag high once again as he faces a stacked field of elite marathoners.
The race, which starts at 720 Chicago Avenue, will draw thousands of runners and spectators from around the world.
Kiplimo is the current world record holder in the half-marathon, and he is known for his strong finishes and steady consistency.
