England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has agreed terms on a major new contract extension with Everton, a significant boost for the club.
The 31-year-old, who joined the Toffees in 2017 for a then-record £30m fee for a goalkeeper, is set to be announced as staying in the coming days.
Pickford has made 329 appearances for Everton and has won the club’s Player of the Year award four times.
Crucially, his commitment helps stabilize the club following recent turbulence, as he has played a major role in helping Everton retain their Premier League status.
The news follows his recent success with the national team, where he broke a Gordon Banks record by achieving an eighth consecutive England clean sheet.
Pickford has been the Three Lions’ first-choice keeper since the 2018 World Cup.
