Belarusian tennis star Aryna Sabalenka has secured the year-end World Number One ranking for the 2025 Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) season.
The achievement was confirmed as of the October 13 rankings, which show Sabalenka holding a dominant lead that her closest competitor can no longer overcome.
The world rankings place Aryna Sabalenka firmly at the top with a total of 10,400 points.
She leads the second-ranked player, Iga Swiatek of Poland, by more than 1,500 points.
American Coco Gauff rounds out the top three with 7,873 points.
The insurmountable points difference guarantees the Belarusian player will finish the calendar year as the world’s top-ranked woman in singles tennis.
The news comes shortly after Sabalenka’s strong performance last week, where she reached the semifinal of the Wuhan Open tournament.
