Christian Horner, the former Red Bull team principal, is reportedly in sensational talks to join Ferrari and take over as the team principal, a move that would see him managing Sir Lewis Hamilton.
Horner, who was axed by Red Bull in July, is plotting a swift return after securing an estimated £80 million severance package.
This agreement frees him to return to a rival F1 team as early as next April.
According to reports by Metro UK, Ferrari President John Elkann has lost faith in current boss Frederic Vasseur amid the team’s challenging, winless 2025 season.
Elkann is now attempting to lure Horner, a proven winner with six Constructors’ titles at Red Bull, to Maranello.
Horner and Hamilton share a frosty history due to their fierce rivalry during his time at Red Bull and Mercedes.
The role would require the Horner family to relocate to Italy, and his apparent desire to buy a stake in the team is unlikely to be met by Ferrari.
While Horner has been linked to other teams, including Aston Martin, Alpine, and Haas, the focus is now squarely on the potential for this high-stakes, controversial reunion at Ferrari.
