Night Football Lives On At Lugogo: CHINT and KCCA Renew Partnership

KCCA has officially renewed its partnership with CHINT Uganda, confirming the global smart energy giant as the club’s principal shirt sponsor and official lighting partner for the 2025/26 football season.

The renewed deal combines a cash sponsorship package with the continued maintenance and servicing of the floodlights at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, ensuring the home of the Kasasiro Boys remains the shining hub of Ugandan night football.

KCCA and CHINT Uganda first joined forces in 2022 in a partnership that revolutionized the club’s matchday experience.

CHINT’s installation of world-class floodlights at the MTN Omondi Stadium ushered in a new era, the dawn of Night Football in Uganda, giving fans, players, and broadcasters an unforgettable spectacle under the lights.

CHINT, a global leader in smart energy solutions, has been an exclusive franchise holder in Uganda since 2005. The company ranks among China’s Top 500 enterprises and operates in over 140 countries, delivering reliable and sustainable power technologies around the world.

Speaking about the renewed partnership, KCCA FC Chairman, Eng. Sserunjogi Andrew Mukiibi, praised CHINT’s continued commitment to the club and the game.

“This renewal symbolizes more than just a sponsorship, it’s a partnership built on trust, excellence, and shared vision.”

“CHINT’s support strengthens us both on and off the pitch, and their investment ensures MTN Omondi Stadium remains the home of thrilling night football for our fans.”

Ms. Shi Jiane Namutebi, Founder and CEO of CHINT Uganda, reaffirmed the company’s pride in supporting local football.

“We are thrilled to continue our journey with KCCA FC. Our relationship goes beyond branding, it’s about powering passion and connecting with a community that believes in excellence.”

“We look forward to lighting up another successful season together. Switch to the Best.”

Beyond the football pitch, CHINT continues to expand its footprint in Uganda. On August 16th, 2025, the company launched the CHINT Centre, a state-of-the-art facility located at Plot 73, First Street, Jinja Road, Kampala.

The new centre, one of the largest and most advanced electrical showrooms in East Africa, showcases a full range of smart electrical and clean energy solutions, further demonstrating CHINT’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in Uganda.

As KCCA gears up for the 2025/26 season, the renewed partnership with CHINT Uganda stands as a shining example of collaboration between sport and industry, one that continues to light the path toward a brighter, electrified future for Ugandan football.
